Carla Moore's Apple Dumpling Recipe
Ingredients:
4 apples, peeled, cored and cut into quarters
2 tubes of cresent rolls
2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 can Mt. Dew soda
Wrap 1/4 of each apple slice in a cresent roll triangle and place in a casserole pan. Melt butter and combine with sugar and cinnamon. Pour the mixture over the dumplings.
Pour soda around edges of casserole (not on top of them. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until brown.

Mahjongg
Some residents have expressed a desire to learn/play Mahjongg. We would love to set up a weekly schedule to play at poolside or in our homes, as weather permits. Let me know if you have played in the past, are just learning, or need to start with the basics. Contrary to popular belief, Mahjongg is NOT just played by women--would love to see some interest from some of you gentlemen. In China, where the game originated, it was played ONLY by men for many centuries.
